If you’ve been using Facebook and Instagram you’re most probably noticing regular changes that make you feel like someone has moved the tools in the shed overnight.

This follows on from my previous point in regard to LIVE videos. Transparency! Yes, transparency will be one of the most crucial elements of marketing. As much as there’s all this AI (Artificial Intelligence) coming out, consumers can smell it a mile away and still relate best to the good old human touch! 

Think about it. Transparency and trust are already huge when it comes to signing contracts with new builders, and everyone reads reviews. They search for you online, find your social media profiles, and stalk you out before taking any next steps. Because everyone reads reviews, it’s important to make sure you get some on your Facebook Page. 

4/ Mobile Video Consumption will Increase: 

It’s no secret that people spend a lot of time staring at their phones, and we all know that social video is a big deal, so if your website is not mobile optimised, this is a big deal in a bad way. Basically, search engines are smart and they will penalise you if your website if it isn’t mobile-friendly.

Exciting news for local businesses, “Facebook Local APP” will give consumers a more localised social platform making it easier for them to find you off their friend’s recommendations and for you to interact with your audience locally - This is due to be released later in 2018. 

Also, Local Insights in Facebook has just come through in the United States makes it easy to prove you’re trustworthy.  A local focus this gives local businesses the chance to rise against bigger brands meaning that you guys will have to be more on-to-it than ever. We’re hoping to see this down under later in 2018. 

Also, reviews will help with local search, so making sure you invite clients to throw down a review after you’ve done a stellar job is never a bad idea!
